Person struck by train between Airdrie and Bathgate stations

Airdrie Bathgate ScotRail

A person has tragically been struck by a train between Airdrie and Bathgate stations this evening.

Emergency crews have raced to the area with trains on the line between Helensburgh Central and Bathgate via Airdrie have been cancelled until at least 10.30pm.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm, with rail lines remaining closed.
