A man has died after being hit by a train travelling through the west end of Glasgow.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers responded to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Hyndland station at 11.24pm on Sunday, January 16.
Paramedics also rushed to the area but tragically the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
ScotRail posted Twitter at 11.42pm that night.
They said: "Sadly, a person has been hit by a train between Hyndland and Anniesland.
"Right now we can't run any trains between Partick and Anniesland, nor between Partick and Jordanhill."
The railway operators also tweeted at 12.04am on Monday, January 17.
They added that those travelling west of Glasgow city centre could use platform help points to arrange alternative routes.
A BTP spokesperson said: "We were called to Hyndland station at 11.24pm yesterday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers are currently working to establish the full circumstances behind their death."
