Train services have been stopped on busy commuter line this morning.
Lines between Crewe and Warrington Bank Quay and Liverpool Lime Street are currently closed due to an incident. Network Rail earlier alleged that the closure was due to a person being hit by a train at Winsford at around 9.30am on Friday, February 10.
However British Transport Police has later reported that it was a bird hit by a train. Train services are expected to be disrupted until around noon while emergency services deal with the incident.

In a further tweet, Network Rail posted: "If you’ve been affected by what happened on the network today, there is always someone to talk to. You can contact the @Samaritans on 116 123 from any phone for a confidential chat."
