A person has died following an incident on train tracks between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa. Earlier today (November 9) all lines were blocked in the area as emergency services dealt with the incident.
All lines have now reopened. British Transport Police (BTP) has confirmed that, following the incident, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for BTP said: "British Transport Police were called to Oldfield Park station at 2.28pm today (November 9) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended, and a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are currently working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
