One person has died and another was seriously injured in a 'devastating' house fire caused by an e-bike battery. Fire crews were called out to a serious fire in Litherland in the early hours of Sunday morning (January 8).
Four fire engines arrived at the scene, on Daisy Mews and found a semi-detached home well alight on the ground floor. Two people were found in the home and carried out of the property by firefighters.
Firefighters and North West Ambulance Service paramedics did CPR on the occupants. One of the residents died at the scene and the other remains a serious condition in hospital, Merseyside Fire and Rescue have confirmed.
