Perrie Edwards has penned a heartfelt tribute to her now fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after announcing the couple's engagement, with fans welling up at her post.
Little Mix star Perrie and Liverpool footballer Alex have been an item since the end of 2016, after she was spotted at the Emirates ground when he was still playing for Arsenal, before he was clocked watching Little Mix performing on The X Factor. The loved up pair welcomed their first child together, son Axel, last year, with South Shields singer Perrie and the little one joining Alex on the pitch at Anfield as Liverpool narrowly missed out on the Premier League title.
It was Perrie, 28, who revealed news of Alex getting down on one knee to the pop the question, in a post she made on Instagram on Saturday evening. Sharing photos of the special sunset moment, along with a picture of her stunning engagement ring, Perrie wrote: " Last night the love of my life got down on one knee and I said… YES!"
