Perplexity is now offering students across the globe free access to its premium AI tools through a new partnership with SheerID. The initiative, announced by SheerID, is designed to break down barriers to reliable information access and support academic research by providing up to two years of Perplexity Pro at no cost to eligible students.
Through SheerID’s secure verification system, students from 190 countries can confirm their academic status and get real-time access to Perplexity Pro’s suite of features. These include cited answers to any query, detailed reports through Deep Research, automated workflows via Perplexity Tasks, and hands-on learning tools like dashboards and apps within Perplexity Labs.
