During a public appearance at the success meet of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the actress said that she had worked through her periods while shooting songs and believed that “periods are not an excuse” when women want equality and success.
Her statement quickly went viral, especially because Sreeleela is not only an actress but also recently completed her MBBS degree. Many people online felt that someone with a medical background should have been more sensitive while talking about menstruation and women’s health.
