Performer dies moments after arriving at weekend music festival

A performer has died moments after arriving at a Scottish music festival at the weekend.

Emergency services raced to the Eden Festival at around 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon (June 11), with reports of a concern for a person on the last day of the weekend event.

A 49 year-old man was initially attended to by the festivals on-site medics, before the Scottish Ambulance Service and Police Scotland arrived. But, sadly he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene, reports the Record.

Police confirm there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the Prosecutor Fiscal.
