Manchester City fans are in a confident mood after seeing their team to take on Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League this evening.
City will be looking to make the perfect start to their last-16 tie in Portugal this evening as they look to finally add the European crown they have been craving this season.
Pep Guardiola’s side will head into the clash as heavy favourites, although Sporting did underline their credentials after pipping Borussia Dortmund to qualification for the knockout stages.
They sit second in the Portuguese Primeira Liga table, six points behind leaders Porto, and will be aiming to hold off City and take something with them to the Etihad in three weeks’ time.

Nevertheless, City will be expectant of another victory this evening to carry on their fine recent form as they look to complete a historic treble.
Guardiola rang the changes at the weekend against Norwich, resting five of his players as the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Joao Cancelo and John Stones all sat out the comfortable 4-0 win.
Those three, along with Aymeric Laporte and Rodri, all return in Portugal this evening though as City go with arguably their strongest side at the moment, leaving their fans more than satisfied.
City are of course looking to go one step further this season, having fallen at the final hurdle to Chelsea in last year’s Champions League.
They are once again the favourites to be crowned European champions for the first time, and will be hoping to take another step towards their goal this evening in Lisbon.
