Pepe Aguilar Vehemently Denies Rumors that He Won't Perform in Mexico Again

En español

This 2024 has been a year full of rumors for the Aguilar family. This time, the spotlight is on the dynasty's patriarch, Pepe Aguilar, who was taken aback when confronted with one of the latest rumors surrounding his career.

The moment unfolded during a recent interview where the renowned regional Mexican artist spoke about the importance of staying "connected" with his fans. The interviewer took the opportunity to ask about circulating rumors suggesting that Pepe would no longer perform concerts in Mexico.

Pepe's reaction to the question was one of genuine surprise. Visibly puzzled, he responded by repeating the question, "I'm not touring in Mexico anymore?" The interviewer clarified that this rumor was spreading online, prompting Pepe to share his disbelief.

"I don't even know what to say. I'm more Mexican than mole, and I love Mexico more than words can express. How could I stop performing in Mexico?" Pepe declared, emphatically dismissing the rumor.

The interviewer explained that the claim was making the rounds on the internet and aimed to either confirm or debunk it directly with Pepe. The singer, visibly astonished and somewhat indignant, reminded fans that not everything they read online is true. To dispel the rumor further, Pepe shared a list of confirmed concert dates in Mexico, including stops in Querétaro this December, Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico City, Monterrey, Torreón, Zacatecas, and Guadalajara, among others.

During the conversation, Pepe also teased an upcoming project. He revealed that it would involve horses but clarified that it was neither a solo effort nor a family collaboration.

"I'm working on a concept you won't believe. It's about horses again, but not with my family. It's with another partner—not Mexican, not a charro—but an excellent horseman recognized globally," Pepe shared.

He added that the collaboration isn't with anyone from the music industry but rather someone from the equestrian world with international acclaim. Could this possibly hint at it being with Adán Bañuelos, the cowboy rumored to be dating Bella Hadid?

With rumors about his retirement from the Mexican stage now laid to rest—rumors sparked by dissatisfaction among fans over actions by his daughter Ángela Aguilar—and with his upcoming project announcement, Pepe Aguilar remains more focused than ever on his career.
