Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that he would much prefer to be in Arsenal's position in the ongoing Premier League title race.
The north Londoners currently sit five points clear of City in second with just nine games to go. That gap had been eight points before the reigning champions defeated Southampton 4-1 yesterday thanks to goals from Jack Grealish, Julian Alvarez and an Erling Haaland brace.
After the game, Guardiola was asked if the pressure was now on the Gunners to beat Liverpool today, to which he replied by saying: "I would like to be in the position Arsenal (are in) I want to be honest.

"I would like to have eight points, right now five. I would love it but yeah, it is what it is and now Bayern Munich."
City welcome Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich to the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday evening before a home match against Leicester City in the league next weekend.
