Pep Guardiola insists "everything is under control" with his Manchester City contract, but talks over a new deal won't necessarily take place during the six-week break for the World Cup.
The Catalan is in his seventh season at the Etihad but his current deal expires at the end of this season and he has often left it late to commit to a new contract at the club.
But his exuberant celebrations at the end of the win against Fulham last week showed how happy he is with life at City and he has assured supporters that there is nothing to worry about with regard to his future.

"I said many times, I don’t talk about that. Everything is under control, it’s perfect, the decision will be made together with the club the moment it has to be made," said Guardiola.
"I said many times, I had the feeling that both the club and myself are happy to be together. It’s not the moment, tomorrow against Brentford is the only important thing right now. When we have time, when the moment we feel it both sides, we take a decision."
Guardiola has won everything except for the Champions League at City, but insists his motivation for remaining at the club is not about silverware.
"Having fun [is my motivation]. There are stressful moments, in the bad moments, it’s not all the time you win, all the time you’re happy and all the time it works like you’re thinking. It’s not about achievements after six or seven years, it’s seeing you are comfortable being here," he said.
