Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that striker Gabriel Jesus "deserves the best" amid links with a move to Arsenal this summer. It comes as the Gunners go in search of a striker in the summer.
With Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to leave the club, a number of players have been rumoured to interest Mikel Arteta. The likes of Darwin Nunez, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Alexander Isak and Jonathan David have all been reportedly on the Arsenal radar.
However, Jesus is the latest, with his impressive display on Saturday only adding to his appeal. The Brazilian’s current deal expires next summer and with a World Cup on the horizon, he is said to be in search of more playing time.

The forward scored an impressive four goals and one assist in City's 5-1 win over Watford that extended their lead over Liverpool at the top of the Premier League to four points, with Jurgen Klopp's side facing Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday. It takes Jesus' tally up to seven goals for the Premier League season, with nine assists in 24 appearances.
Manager Pep Guardiola then spoke to Sky Sports after the game, heaping praise on Jesus: "Listen, in this world of football If there's one person who deserves the best of his life for his family and friends, it's Gabriel [Jesus]. So all of us, all the club, all the locker room, the staff, players, mates, when he can live one of this situations, I’m happy for him.
"Because he’s always so generous and it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t know what position he is going to play, just how he fights for his mates is fantastic." It’s a glowing assessment from one of the great coaches in the league.
With Arteta already working with Jesus during his time at Manchester City, he could potentially get the best out of the striker. However, it remains to be seen if a move does go through this summer.
