Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was coy on Kevin De Bruyne’s fitness ahead of their Premier League showdown with Arsenal.
Guardiola saw his side held to a frustrating 0-0 draw with Inter Milan to kick off their campaign in the revamped Champions League on Wednesday night.
De Bruyne was substituted at the break after appearing to pick up a knock when attempting to round goalkeeper Yann Sommer just before half-time.
Pressed on the playmaker’s fitness, Guardiola said: “I didn't speak with the doctors yet.”
He later added: “I don't know [if De Bruyne will be fit for Sunday], I will have more info tomorrow.”
While the Premier League champions were undoubtedly flatter than they have been domestically this season, Guardiola was keen to hail Inter’s defensive nous.
"We played so good. I love my team! We are a fantastic team,” he said when asked about City’s performance.
“Against that team, we defended really well. They are the masters of defending.”
