Arsenal’s links to Youri Tielemans have been ongoing throughout the summer transfer window without any serious breakthrough. But, the most recent transfer merry-go-round between Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona means that it is pivotal that Edu pushes through with a deal.
According to various reports both Manchester United and Chelsea are battling to secure Frenkie de Jong’s signature from Barcelona. However, it seems that Chelsea could be leading the race because their late entry has pushed the La Liga side to finding a replacement in Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.
Tielemans has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, and it seems the Red Devils view him as a backup option to De Jong. To prevent the Gunners potentially missing out on the Belgian, Edu must push through with a deal before United get a chance to enter the race for the midfielder.
