People have been urged not to call 999 due to a 'technical fault' that is impacting emergency services across the UK.
Phone lines are down for police, fire and ambulance services, with many calls unable to connect.
In a statement, Police Scotland told people to call 101 instead, with non-emergency calls asked to wait until the issue is resolved to prevent overwhelm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told people not to call 999, but contact call centres directly.
Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf has said issues contacting 999 were "concerning".
Speaking to Sky News, Yousaf said: "It is of course concerning. We are, of course, working with Scottish Fire and Rescue and others to see if that situation has been resolved."
The First Minister added his government will work with partners across the UK to get 999 call lines back up and running.
