A baby girl who was dying inside of her mum as she herself lay dying from an aneurism has defied the odds.
Ashleigh Page Mulvaney's parents Alison Mulvaney and Daniel Richford, from Speke, almost died when they rushed to save strangers from a fire while Alison was eight-and-a-half months pregnant back in 2005. On their way home from visiting their son in hospital, they noticed a large fire on Queens Drive.
While Daniel was helping children in a nearby home, Alison went to aid another woman when a nearby explosion caused her to collapse. Despite others initially thinking she was in labour, Alison said she knew she was dying.
