People have paid tribute to a man who was found in the water at Salthouse Dock.
Emergency services were called to the dock at around 10.15am on Easter Sunday (April 9), following reports of a male body in the water. Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS) and North West Ambulance Service attended the scene.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Images sent to the ECHO by a passer-by showed a large MFRS cordon and a forensic tent on the dock walkway.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and inform his next of kin and a post-mortem examination will take place to establish his cause of death. At this stage the man’s death is being treated as unexplained.

On Facebook, Maddy Guest said: "May he rest in peace". Donna Reardon said: "So very sad. R.I.P sir and may the angels surround you in love".
Mary Louise Maitland said: "So sad". Lorraine Siegertsz added: "Very sad".
On the ECHO website, one user said: "Thoughts and prayers to his family". Another added: "Rest in peace mate".
