People left in stitches over Fashion Nova's version of an outfit for the office

Now some of us are returning to the office, we might spend a little more time than we’d care to admit planning our outfit of the day.

Gone are the days of tracksuit bottoms (we do miss them though) and oversized jumpers that you’d quickly switch for a shirt every time you had an important meeting.

Many of us will want to look slick and professional - where our hair is effortlessly doing that wavy thing, our makeup is glowing and definitely doesn't look sweaty - you get the idea.

But what we can all agree on, is that we do not want our whole chest to be on show whilst we’re at work…right?

Wrong, according to Fashion Nova.

One woman tweeted a picture of the dress, which many would consider offensive, saying the dress appeared under the 'office babe’ section of the website.

They then followed the tweet with a skull emoji, expressing their horror, before adding: "The length and then the styling? Madness.”

Fans of the American retailer were left in stitches at this seriously revealing outfit - which had been deemed a 'serious business blazer mini dress.’

The incredibly little black dress sports a short skirt, with a full-frontal exposure of the chest area.

We’re pretty sure if we wore that into the office we’d be getting a serious talking to from HR.

We're not sure we’d even want to be sporting it if we weren’t in the office, to be honest. It's hard to think of an appropriate public setting for this dress to be worn in.

People were horrified at the dress and were baffled at who had considered it office wear.

One replied: "'Serious Business Blazer Mini Dress' with two silver coaster pasties?”

“Incredibly unserious attire”, someone responded.

Another said: “'Serious business blazer”'is sending me off the deep end because serious to who?!?”

We’re not too sure about the answer to that question either.

People joked that the HR department would be busy if people turned up in that outfit.

"Show up to work and HR will seriously want a word”, one joked. Another wrote: “HR gonna be busy.”

“By office they mean Instagram models cosplaying as businesswomen”, a third quipped.

One Twitter user thought they’d found out the real reason the dress had been designed:"“Hellllllllooooo?!!! Role play wardrobe?! This is excellent for a game of Secretary & The CEO!”

People were shocked, even though Fashion Nova has a tendency for releasing revealing attire. Someone wrote: “In all seriousness, as cheap as FN is this is so tacky, even for them.”

"What office do they speak of??”, asked another - and this is a question we’d love answering too.
