People injured in crash involving caravan and two cars

People were hurt after a crash involving a caravan and two cars.

Merseyside Police were called to Oxford Road at the junction of Mount Pleasant in Waterloo at around 3.15pm on Wednesday, September 7 following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a Vauxhall Astra, Seat Ibiza and a caravan had crashed.

Oxford Road was closed by officers, who asked the North West Ambulance Service to attend the scene. People involved in the crash suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The road was closed for some time as emergency services worked to remove all the vehicles involved. The caravan had severe damage to the front along with the Seat Ibiza.

The Vauxhall Astra had already been towed away from the scene before our ECHO photographer arrived. No arrests have been made following the crash.
