People in stitches over sad state of woman's Christmas tree after her cat attacked it

Warning: the following video contains strong language.

This weekend, many of us will be excitedly putting up our Christmas trees in preparation for the festive season ahead. As fun as this may be, there will be additional challenges in store for pet owners. One hilariously relatable woman has revealed what her tree now looks like following a savage attack from her oh so innocent-looking moggy.

In a humorous video shared on TikTok, cat owner Steph shared footage of the remains of her tree, having been forced to remove the lower branches and pack them away out of reach. What's left of the tree now resembles, in one follower's words, a 'mini skirt Christmas tree'.

Raging in the video, Steph, who goes by the username @stephenieviolet, could be seen packing her Christmas tree branches away in bin bags, despite the fact that the festive season has barely begun.

She fumed: "Steph, Christmas hasn't even started yet, why are you putting your Christmas tree away? I'll tell you f****** why!"

The camera then pans to Steph's adorable little cat Lola, who looks on wide-eyed as though butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, clearly having no regrets whatsoever about the destruction she'd caused.

Telling off the naughty feline, Christmas pyjama clad Steph seethed, 'Yeah, you! Little s***', before offering a look at her very sparse tree, which now only has branches at the very top.

Letting out a heartfelt sigh, she then broke into a sarcastic rendition of O Christmas Tree, adding: "If she gets up that, I just don't know what to do anymore. I just can't do it!"

Many of Steph's followers could relate all too well to her plight, with one person commenting: "I've got massive holes, flattened branches and baubles chucked all over my lounge from cat."

Another lamented: "Same lol. I've given up now I just let them crack on, I can't wait to put it away now."
