People in need of social housing rises in the Hunter

Martin Kennedy Hunter Newcastle Home in Place New South Wales

The number of people waiting for public housing in Newcastle has grown by more than a third in just 12 months.

The NSW government released its updated wait times for social housing just before Christmas, which showed there were more people in the Hunter in need of homes on June 30 than there were the previous year.
