People in Leeds fuming at huge taxi driver strike in city this weekend

People across Leeds have had a mixed reaction to the taxi strike which will be taking place over the weekend.

From Saturday 10pm to Sunday 6am, taxi drivers, both private hire and hackney, will be striking against Leeds City Council’s Suitability and Convictions Policy.

Chair of Leeds Private Hire Drivers Organisation (LPHDO) Ahmed Hussain has been vocal about the policy which has been in place since February 2020.
