People are complaining about proposals to build one of the tallest buildings in the North of England in Merseyside.
Plans were announced yesterday for a new 48-storey building that will home 140 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, a restaurant, 109 five star hotel rooms, a wedding venue, a bar and a car park.
The 178-metre tall complex will be funded by Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group and will be discussed with Sefton Council.

The building will also have a health and wellbeing centre open to the community.
Despite the positive words from the company's chairman, Andrew Mikhail, the plans have been slated by residents.
Commenting on the ECHO's story Mrs Krone said: "Ridiculous proposal."
Sunnie14 also wrote: "Waste of money, other important things could spend money on."
One person even made a dig that King Kong is missing from the images. Moon56 said: "The planners could go the whole hog and plonk a huge King Kong on top of it."
Despite the negative comments, one person saw it as a positive for the town.
They said: "Love this story and the building would be great for Southport."
Andrew Mikhail said following the release of the plans: "I want this to be a true sign that we shouldn’t give up and that better things will come, I hope that people will look up, see the Tower of Hope and realise, that anything is possible. Sometimes taking a few steps back will actually move you ahead much further and faster.
"It allows you to reassess, clear your mind, and catch your breath for the big plans about to unfold for you. The plans for this landmark building incorporating The Grand Casino will connect the past, present and future of Southport together.
"My aim is to build phase one and the hotel then any profits proceeding from the sales of apartments will ALL go to a charity or charities of the local people’s choice."
