People blown away after just discovering the hidden use for Terry's Chocolate Orange packaging

Chocolate lovers are expressing their amazement at a little-known use for the discarded packaging from a Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Terry's Chocolate Oranges are widely given as gifts for Christmas, and if you still have any lying around, be sure to try this helpful hack that has shocked people on social media.

We're all aware of the bashing trick to separate the chocolate segment, but the plastic holder inside also serves a purpose, as TikTokker Neil Adams shared online in a video that has racked up over 338,000 views.

The Mirror reports that Neil, who posts content under the username @michael_adams1138, created a short clip demonstrating the correct use of the plastic insert, leaving people in disbelief that they hadn't tried it before.

Captioning the post, the TikToker wrote: "Chocolate orange display."

He recorded himself opening the cardboard box and taking out the chocolate orange in its plastic container.

But instead of discarding it, like most people probably do, he folded it down on either side to create a handy holder for the chocolate.

He admitted: "I was today years old when I discovered this hack," which makes it much easier to reach the chocolate rather than trying to take it from inside the box.

In the comments, people were equally as shocked to find out about this hack, with one person saying they'd been eating the chocolate wrong for half a century.

One person noticed a problem: "Could've done with this before Christmas! it's gonna be 12 months before I eat another chocolate orange and what're the chances of me remembering?"

"Omg!! I've just realised, nobody got me a chocolate orange for Christmas. I'm hurt," a second added.

Meanwhile, a different user praised the idea: "Genius!"

A fourth said: "50 years on the planet and still learning."

"I thought it was just to stop it rattling around the box!" another commenter admitted.
