People asked to help elderly missing out on key Christmas tradition

A Christmas card is a simple way to spread festive cheer as we count down the days of December - and for many elderly people, it could mean a world of difference.

Christmas can be a difficult time for care home residents, as many of them find themselves celebrating the holidays alone.

This is why the Manor House Bupa Care Home in Birkenhead has put out a plea to the community to send in hand-written messages of yuletide cheer to residents, in the hope of bringing festive joy and warm feelings of togetherness.
