People abused in Northern Ireland institutions like Magdalene laundries urged by police to come forward

PSNI detectives are appealing to people in the Republic who were abused in institutions in the North to come forward.

The police have issued a call for victims abused in Mother & Baby Homes, Magdalene laundries and other residential institutions to come and speak to them.

The call is part of the Northern Ireland police force’s investigations into the historical abuse at the homes which they launched in October 2021.
