Pentagon is clashing over how many U.S. troops were killed—but Iran’s claim is the real bombshell

The US military has confirmed that seven American troops have died in the ongoing conflict with Iran. A service member died from injuries sustained during an Iranian attack in Saudi Arabia. US Central Command (CENTCOM) shared the news on X, saying the soldier was seriously wounded on March 1. The military has not released the name yet, following standard procedure to notify the family first.

This follows the dignified transfer of six other soldiers killed in Kuwait. President Trump and other senior officials joined the grieving families at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. That strike hit a makeshift operations center at the civilian port of Shuaiba in Kuwait on March 1, and all six soldiers were part of the 103rd Sustainment Command, an Army Reserve unit from Iowa.
