A pensioner has died following a road crash involving two pedestrians and a car in Lanarkshire.
The 78-year-old died at the scene just off Lesmahagow Road, Strathaven, and a 67-year-old man was rushed to the University Hospital Wishaw by emergency services.
Police have arrested a 61-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

Enquiries into the incident are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a crash involving two pedestrian and a car off Lesmahagow Road, Strathaven around 7pm on Tuesday, January 3.
“A 78-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 67-year-old man was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Wishaw.
“A 61-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
