A pensioner has been arrested after a man was left "covered in blood" following an attack in a pub in Glasgow.
Officers from Police Scotland were called to the Hazelwood Bar and Function Suite on Nitshill Road in the city at around 7.05pm on Wednesday, July 5, following reports of an assault.
A 65-year-old man was taken from the scene to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was treated for his injuries before being released.
Eyewitnesses told the Daily Record that they saw a man "covered in blood" outside the premises.
A 68-year-old pensioner has been arrested in connection with the incident and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.05pm on Wednesday, 5 July, 2023, we received a report of the assault of a 65-year-old man on Nitshill Road, Glasgow. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and later released.
"A 68-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He has been released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date."
