Pensioner, 94, forced to have BOTH legs amputated after being crushed by lorry

An elderly woman needed both her legs amputated after being crushed by a lorry in an 'easily avoidable' accident, which has seen two building companies fined.

The 94 year old was with a friend on a housing site when she was hit by the HGV, causing devastating and 'life-changing' injuries.

The driver of the truck and the traffic marshal guiding the vehicle both failed to see the woman.
