Police have revealed that shots fired at a Pennsylvania school bus on Thursday were directed towards just one student.

17-year-old Jaki White-Marshal was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on Friday after he was allegedly part of a group that opened fire on a school bus in Coatesville. Officials believe that White-Marshal met up with a group waiting near a bus stop to conduct the assault.

Eight shots were fired at the bus by two shooters from about a block away, reported Fox 29.

While no one was injured in the shooting, the bus was struck by two bullets. One of the bullets hit the windshield and sent glass into the face of the bus driver, who drove to Westwood Fire House in fear after the shooting.

"There is not a single child that should ever feel like their school bus is not a safe place," said Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe, who continued to state that the shooting was a "targeted event" and not someone trying to shoot up a school bus."

"This is inexcusable conduct," de Barrena-Sarobe said. "I can't even express in words how shocking it is to every single one of us that this happened in Chester County."

Coatesville Area School District high schools took precautionary measures and switched to virtual learning on Friday.
