A man from Levittown, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of rape and other offenses after allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting women he met online over the past 15 months. The accused, a 40-year-old man named Andrew J. Gallo, is currently in jail with bail set at $500,000 cash.
The charges against Gallo include five counts of rape by causing impairment, four counts of strangulation, drug and alcohol charges, and corruption of minors. According to police reports, all six women who came forward, ranging in age from 17 to 30, stated that they had met Gallo through a website that connects women with 'sugar daddy' men.
Authorities allege that Gallo secretly spiked the women's drinks with methamphetamines and other drugs, resulting in the victims feeling ill and bruised after spending time at his residence. Some of the women required medical attention following their encounters with Gallo.
During a news conference, Bucks County District Attorney Jen Schorn emphasized that the victims were left in a state of impaired judgment, rendering them unable to consent to any sexual activity. The women reported experiencing adverse effects from the drugs, including prolonged periods of wakefulness and hallucinations. Gallo is also accused of choking the women to the point of unconsciousness or near-unconsciousness.
Authorities are now seeking additional potential victims who may have had similar experiences with Gallo. As of now, Gallo does not have legal representation listed in court records, and no lawyer appeared with him during his arraignment. Attempts to reach Gallo for comment have been unsuccessful.
