Penney's shoppers have snapped up sandals for a bargain at €8 as the summer months roll in, and the sandals are literally identical to a designer brand.
With the weather starting to improve and many people beginning to plan for holidays abroad retailers are stocking up on brand new collections. Birkenstocks are among some of the most popular brands of footwear particularly for their distinctive sandals, and can be quite expensive.
But thankfully Penney's have released a set of their own sandals that are just a fraction of the price of the iconic Birkenstocks and shoppers are absolutely raving about them. Spotted by Primark ‘obsessed’ TikTok vlogger, Primarkxo, the fashion lover compared the brand's €8 Buckle Strap Footbed Sandals to Birkenstock's €60 Madrid sandals.

Penneys are offering stunning sandals that are very similar to the luxury brand and they come in three colours - Black, Silver and Blue. The German shoe also comes in three colours - Black, White and Dark Brown.
The Madrid is the oldest member of the Birkenstock family of models, and the upper is made from the skin-friendly, hard-wearing synthetic material Birko-Flor, while the footbed is lined with suede.
In the video, which has so far amassed over 13,000 views, the fashion vlogger compares £7 (€8) Slip On Sandals from Penneys to the Gizeh Birko-Flor style Birkenstock that costs £65 (€75). The Penneys sandal would save you £58 and comes in two colours - Gold and White.
The Gizeh also comes in Gold and Silver. A pair of £65 (€70) Arizona Birkenstocks were also compared to Primark's €8 Double Buckle Strap Slides - as they both feature a double buckle.
The Penneys Arizona dupes come in multiple colours - Black, White, Silver, Tan, Burnt Orange and Pink. There are many different styles of the Arizona shoe designed by Birkenstock in a range of colours, with some of them costing more than €100.
Ultimately, the Penneys sandals would save you a fair amount of cash and comes in two colours - Gold and White. The Gizeh also comes in Gold and Silver.
While the Birkenstocks sandals would undoubtedly last longer as they're more durable, if you're heading off on your summer holidays and want a stylish, yet inexpensive pair of sandals then Penneys is the best for you. While the quality of the Birkenstocks may be more durable, if you're looking for a similar stylish pair for the a fraction of the price for the summer, then the Penneys ones could be the way to go.
