Penneys has announced a major relocation and expansion of their Dundrum Town Centre store.
The Dundrum Penneys is being moved to the upper floors of the of the former House of Fraser site in the shopping centre, with doors due to open next year.
The move will cost a whopping €14.8 million and the new site will be 60,000 sq ft, a 64% increase on the size of the current Dundrum shop at the back of the centre.
Construction work on the new store will begin in the autumn.
The current Penneys at Dundrum will remain open while construction is in progress.
This expansion is part of the fashion retailers commitment to invest over €250 million in its Irish business over the next 10 years and create more than 700 jobs in Ireland over the next three years.
Damien O’Neill, Head of Penneys ROI and NI, said the new store will bring a wider selection of products.
