Peggy Gou announces biggest ever London show at Gunnersbury Park

Peggy Gou has announced her biggest ever London show will be held at Gunnersbury Park this summer.

The Berlin-based Korean DJ will play the huge event on the back of securing her first UK number one with (It Goes Like) Nanana last year.

She will be supported by Mochakk, LSDXOXO, Sally C, and Hiver for the highly anticipated show on Saturday, August 17.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, February 23, from www.ticketmaster.com

Peggy Gou is set to play on August 17 (Festival Republic)

Gou was recently featured in Radio 1’s Sound of 2024 poll but has been an emerging force in dance music for years, with her tracks I Go and Starry Night winning acclaim.

She has also been outspoken about sexism in the industry as one of the world’s most recognisable female DJs - and last year played at the closing weekend for Printworks.

This year, she is set to release her debut album.

A statement added: “Few artists in recent memory have made such an impact on popular culture as Peggy Gou.

Gunnersbury Park, Acton (Festival Republic)

“From underground sensation to global icon, Gou has become one of the world’s most recognised names in dance music and beyond.

“As the founder of music and design label Gudu and as a keen collaborator with a family of distinctive creatives, Gou has distilled these passions into a celebration of electronic music and alternative culture, harvesting a personal vision that resonates universally.”

Her set will follow fellow dance pioneer Fisher playing at Gunnersbury Park on August 9 while PJ Harvey will play at the 20,000 capacity venue in Acton on August 18 - the day after Gou, as it turns out.

Last year, Boygenius took to the stage - getting a five-star review from us.
