Pedro Porro has made the decision to miss Sporting CP's training session on Monday after his proposed transfer to Tottenham fell apart. The two clubs had reached a verbal agreement for the 23-year-old but Sporting had a change of heart over certain details of the deal.
Negotiations progressed significantly last week and a move appeared at it's final stages with Porro saying goodbye to the Sporting fans following their Taca de Portugal final defeat to Porto. A plan was in place for the wing-back to travel to London after the game and complete a medical on Monday.
However, football.london understands negotiations took another turn in the wrong direction as the weekend came to a close and the medical was cancelled. The 23-year-old is said to be distraught after Sporting president told the wing-back that following Saturday’s League Cup final he would be allowed to leave.
