Arsenal vs Wolves is not often a much anticipated Premier League fixture in any season.
But following events from the reverse meeting from just over 10 days ago, there's certainly an edge going into Thursday night's rearranged game at the Emirates Stadium.
Whilst important points are at stake in the top-four race, revenge is likely to be on the visitors' minds as Wolves were an unhappy camp after losing 1-0 at home to Arsenal earlier in the month.
In fact, Ruben Neves was extremely vocal in his criticism of the Gunners players for what he perceived as over-exuberant celebrations at Molineux.
"We saw the way they celebrated the win and that shows the level we are," he said. "I didn't see Arsenal celebrating like this in the past 10 years - it was like they won the league."
This prompted a response from a 'vexed' Arsenal legend in Ian Wright who explained why Mikel Arteta 's side were so jubilant after the full-time whistle.
"I was vexed with Neves, coming out and saying ‘look at how Arsenal are celebrating'," he said when speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast. "What’s wrong with you?
"That’s an unbelievable result for Arsenal the way that you lot have been playing. 1-0 nil down with ten men away from home and we get the goal [win].
"That is cause for celebration!"
Since the Arsenal game, Wolves have visited and taken three points from one north London club and know that completing the double in the space of 11 days will boost their chances of a top-four finish.
Meanwhile, Neves warmed up for the showdown with a goal in the 2-1 win over Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.
But that wasn't the only boost Bruno Lage received ahead of the Arsenal clash as the Leicester game also marked the return to action for Joao Moutinho after two games out and Pedro Neto made his first appearance in 10 months.
And he marked his long-awaited comeback by posting a simple two-word message on Instagram: "I’m back," he wrote.
This should serve as a warning to the Gunners as Neto claimed the Sky Sports man of the match award after scoring once and setting up Daniel Podence for the other as Wolves emerged victorious in the corresponding fixture last season.
And after an impressive cameo against the Foxes, the 21-year-old could have a big role to play on Thursday having been tipped by his manager to fill the void created by Adama Traore who rejoined Barcelona last month.
"It was good and he helped the team in that moment," Lage said. "He came inside when it was 2-1 and understood the pressure we wanted.
"He gave us some speed in the attack, like the impact that Adama did for us - I think he can have that impact now.
"He had a big chance to score in the last minutes. Pedro, for now, it’s about giving him confidence and time because the things will come, for sure.
"He’s working hard and we believe a lot in him, but to play he must fight for his place every day."
