A pedestrian who died in a tragic three vehicle crash in East Kilbride yesterday has been named by Police.
John Paul McGinty, aged 35, passed away at the scene on the A726 Queensway following the collision which took place just after 6.30pm.
The fatal incident occurred on the eastbound carriageway of the road east of the roundabout junction with Murrayhill and Cornwall Street.

Police closed the road for six hours following the horrific collision as they carried out an investigation. No one from the cars were injured.
Lanarkshire Police said: "A pedestrian who died following a crash with three vehicles on the A726 Queensway in east Kilbride has been named.
"He was John Paul McGinty, aged 35.
"The incident happened on the eastbound carriageway of the road east of the roundabout junction with Murrayhill and Cornwall Street shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday, 7 December.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2829 of 7 December."
