Pedestrian seriously injured after horror collision in Waterford as gardai ask for witnesses

An elderly man is in hospital after a serious collision in Waterford on Thursday morning.

Gardai and emergency services raced to the scene on the N25 at after reports were made of a collision between an SUV and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a man aged in his 70s, was taken to Cork University Hospital in the wake of the collision.
