A pedestrian is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in north Dublin last night.
The crash happened at 9:05pm on the Kilmore Road, Dublin 5. Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene and the pedestrian, a man aged in his 60's, was brought to Beaumont Hospital.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live that the pedestrian's injuries are "believed to be serious". The road remains closed by gardai to facilitate a technical examination.
"Investigations are ongoing," the spokesman added.
