A pedestrian in his 30s is in a critical condition in hospital after a crash in Bolton last night.
Police scrambled to Bolton Road in Farnworth at 9:30pm to the crash, which happened at the junction with Gladstone Road. It has been established that the collision occurred between a white BMW and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian – a man in his 30s — sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition. The driver was arrested.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the incident - including CCTV or dashcam - to please get in touch.
