During a recent revisit to the Karen McDougal agreement, it was revealed that Pecker only agreed to enter into the agreement because Michael Cohen promised to reimburse him. A transfer agreement was drawn up, and Pecker even went as far as signing the document.
However, Pecker later had a change of heart. After consulting with the general counsel, he decided to call Michael Cohen and inform him that the deal was off. Pecker instructed Cohen to rip up the agreement, effectively terminating the arrangement.
