Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy caught short in street after boozy night out

Peaky Blinder's star Cillian Murphy was caught short on a boozy night out with the show's writer after sinking pints of Guinness.

The Irish actor hit the town in Soho with Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight as the pair swapped the Garrison pub for popular London boozer French House.

Our pictures show the pals knocking back Guinness before moving onto champagne.

Thomas Shelby star Cillian was spotted signing autographs for fans before returning to his drinks after letting his hair down earlier this week.

Steven called it a night just after 8pm, but the actor wasn't done there - he met with other friends before heading for home an hour later.

The pair, who will soon be teaming up again on the Peaky Blinders movie, were having a great time as they chatted the afternoon away before breaking out the bubbly.

Cillian made the classic mistake of not using the facilities before searching for a cab.

He was caught short and decided to find a makeshift loo down against a wall the road.

They will be dusting off the flat caps with filming for the movie version set to start imminently.

The film could hit screens in early 2024, reports state.

Steven may have been talking future opportunities with him - and how wouldn't love to see him pick up a huge role.

He is currently developing a drama series based on the life of William Shakespeare, based on a concept by Sarah Lancashire.

He recently said: “I’m excited to be embarking on what will be a landmark TV production telling the dramatic story of the world’s most accomplished writer.

"It’s a period I love and the team that has been put together is extraordinary.

"It’s a story that begins in the West Midlands and is close to my heart.”

The Happy Valley star said: “Via Pictures are very pleased to be collaborating with Kudos and the brilliant Steven Knight to screen the remarkable story of William Shakespeare and his contemporaries.

"This is a thrilling project about a golden age beset by plague, Puritanism and deadly politics.”
