As BBC drama Peaky Blinders nears the end of the sixth and final series there have been many plot twists and shocks along the way. And when Welsh actor Aneurin Barnard made a surprise debut on Sunday, March 20 fans were not happy. You can read more about series six here.

Playing Dr Holford, Aneurin first appeared in the drama in episode four, to deliver some grave and life-changing news to Tommy Shelby, who is played by Cillian Murphy. Throughout the series Tommy had been ignoring urgent letters and calls from the hospital resulting in Dr Holford paying Tommy a home visit.
Here he broke the news that Tommy had an incurable brain tumour and one he was highly likely to die from. Tommy also received the news that as the tumour grew he would continue to deteriorate, suffering from seizures and hallucinations.
