When Merseyside Police received a call about a burgled house, they sent in PD Cliff who not only tracked down two male suspects but recovered a large quantity of stolen goods.
PD Cliff was deployed to the scene of the crime and quickly found stolen items before continuing the hunt for suspects whom he traced shortly afterwards.
The two males are being questioned by police in connection with the burglary.
Mersey Police Dogs tweeted: "PD Cliff tonight tracked from a burglary, locating a large quantity of stolen items from the location before continuing his track and locating 2 male suspects.
"Both now in custody awaiting questioning. #ONETEAM."
There are more than 2,500 police dogs employed in forces across the UK. The most popular breed to be trained and deployed is the Belgian Malinois.
