PC who crashed police van in dash to help woman in danger spared penalty points

A police officer who crashed into the side of a van while speeding through the City of London has been spared penalty points as he was dashing to help a woman in distress.

PC Marcus Fairclough, 30, was at the wheel of a City of London Police response vehicle when he went through a junction at 54mph, smashing his passenger side window as he collided with the van.
