PC shipments surge as Windows 11 adoption rises, but the trade war threatens momentum

According to the latest figures from Canalys, global PC shipments increased dramatically in the first quarter of 2025. 62.7 million units were sold in the quarter, a 9.4% year-over-year increase, many of which are probably some of the best Windows laptops.

The spike is spread relatively evenly across notebooks (up 10% YoY) and desktops (up 8% YoY).
