'Pay whatever it takes' - Man United fans send message to board after Victor Osimhen hat-trick

Manchester United supporters have urged the club to sign Victor Osimhen in January. The Nigerian stole the show as his hat-trick helped Napoli trounce Sassuolo 4-0 and maintain their grip on top spot in Serie A.

Osimhen has now bagged seven goals in eight league games this season to continue his rich vein of form. Last year, the 23-year-old - who cost Napoli €70million two years ago - became one of Europe’s hottest properties by bagging 18 goals.

Reports have linked Osimhen with a move to Old Trafford to solve Erik ten Hag’s striker dilemma. As it stands, Marcus Rashford is being given an opportunity to lead the line while Cristiano Ronaldo settles for a place on the bench.

The player’s agent, Roberto Calenda, denied suggestions that his client is hoping for a move. He told Radio Kiss: “He (Osimhen) has a long contract with the Azzurri. The market is dynamic, but our will is to continue at Napoli and continue to do well."

However, United fans are still demanding that their club approaches the striker. Supporters were vocal on social media after Osimhen bagged a stunning hat-trick.
